About Family Transition Place
Family Transition Place is working to raise respect and eliminate
violence
in
the community by providing shelter and counselling to
abused women
and
their children and delivering skill-building violence
prevention workshops
to
youth and adults in Caledon and Dufferin.
We rely on community involvement in responding to and preventing
violence
against woman. By working with the media, businesses,
community groups
as well as police and other victim serving agencies we
can educate
neighbours, friends and families about the warning signs of
abuse and
give our community information about supporting survivors
and
preventing abuse and violence.
