Thursday March 4th - 6:30pm: Empire Theatre, Bolton - Young Reels Night
Screenings of the best films created by local youth, developed specifically for the festival. Designed to help the youth develop awareness of the issues and to offer a public venue for them to showcase their talent and providing the opportunity to get the inside scoop on “the biz” from a prestigious film and television casting director.
Friday March 5th - 6:30pm: Royal Ambassador Event Centre, Caledon- Festival Gala
This formal event, MC’d by the glamorous Shelley Peterson, bestows“Oscar Night” flair, with celebrities and film makers in attendance on the red carpet. Champagne, hors d’oeuvres and a delectable four course meal will be sure to delight your palette! Selected short films chosen to stimulate thought and discussion will be screened throughout the evening. 2009 was a complete sell-out! Saturday March 6th - 3:00pm: Empire Theatre, Bolton - Screening & Panel Discussion
A fantastic draw for film buffs, this afternoon screening of Mary and Max is immediately followed by a panel discussion with renowned industry insiders Nancy Beiman, Mike Kirby, Kaj Pindal and Jan Smith-Bull and hosted by CBC radio’s talented film critic, Jesse Wente! Meet the panelists...
Saturday March 6th - 7:30pm: Empire Theatre, Bolton -Evening Screening & Wrap Up Party
A final celebration following the evening film presentation of Creation is a catered party in the theatre lobby. This is an opportunity to talk about the film just screened and review the highlights of the festival with friends over a glass of wine and some good food!
Monday March 8th: Galaxy Theatre, Orangeville - Post Event Fundraising Evening
Monday Night at the Movies will screen An Education at 4:30, 7:00 and 9:20 pm as a fundraiser for Family Transition Place .
